Assistant to Construction Manager – Part-time, 20-30 hours/week

EcoBuilders, a subsidiary of Alfandre Architecture in New Paltz, NY, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Assistant to Construction Manager to join our talented team! This newly created part-time position offers the opportunity to expand your construction experience and grow into a full-time role.

  • This position will work closely with our in-house Construction Manager and sub-contractors, providing supervision of and assisting with the day-to-day responsibilities of all assigned projects, reconstruction, materials procurement, scheduling, budgeting, quality assurance and safety.
  • The ideal candidate will have an Associates degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field with a minimum of 2-5 years hands-on experience in general construction with multiple trades.
  • Knowledge of local and state building codes and permit requirements is required. 
  • Ability to read, understand and organize construction plans and specifications is necessary in order to help drive high-end, residential and commercial construction projects to successful completion, on time and on budget.
  • Must be computer literate with a strong intermediate to advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office as well as the ability to learn new cloud-based project management software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Must have reliable transportation along with a clean and valid NYS driver’s license to travel to/from job sites and the main office.
