Rick Alfandre, AIA, LEED AP BD+C is a prolific architect who, over the past 25 years, has designed and built more than 250 projects ranging from multi-million dollar hotels and resorts to solar residences. The founder and President of Alfandre Architecture, he is expert in the design of maximally energy-efficient, climactically responsive buildings that are solar-ready, and that include state of the art construction systems to maximize the health and well-being of their occupants. He launched EcoBuilders Inc. in 2009 to provide full design and build services to his clients. EcoBuilders completed projects include office buildings, resort and hospitality facilities, high performance residences and historic restoration projects. Rick Alfandre graduated from SUNY New Paltz in 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication and earned a Master of Architecture from Virginia Tech, 1987 Alfandre’s offices are located in their LEED Platinum, and Net Zero Energy, office building situated on Main Street, New Paltz, New York in the heart of the beautiful Hudson Valley.

Joseph Buglino, Vice President of EcoBuilders Inc., received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture Design from SUNY Buffalo in 2004. Joseph has been extensive knowledge and background in the field of construction management. Over the past 20 years, Joe has been involved in all aspects of construction and has performed as the lead construction manager for the last 10 years, overseeing all projects for EcoBuilders.

 

As the lead construction manager he brings practical knowledge and leadership to all phases of the design and build process. His responsibilities include but not limited to budget analysis,subcontractor selection and bids evaluation, project scheduling, owners representatives,construction field supervisor, and quality control manager.

 

He has been responsible for the coordination and construction management of numerous commercial, religious, residential, as well as municipal projects. These projects have ranged in scale and utilized various construction materials and methods including ICF, SIP, and High performance modular wall systems.

 

Joseph is committed to making sure that what is designed will be built in an economic and efficient way. He works closely with design consultants, subcontractors, and other building professionals in order to develop a balanced approach for the specific task at hand.
